Statue of Radegast on Radhošť mountain
Visit the mysterious and legendary Slavic god Radegast, whose home since time immemorial has been the mountain Radhošť. According to Slavic legends, Radegast visited ordinary people in disguise and enjoyed their hospitality - he is a god symbolising hospitality, harvest, and abundance. The famous Czech beer Radegast bears his name and likeness. You can admire the statue on the ridge way below Radhošt between the chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius, and Pustevny.

Visit the ski resort just 6 km from Frenštát pod Radhoštěm. Beginners and experienced skiiers will enjoy it. A choice of 6 maintained pistes of varying difficulty will please every skiier. There is also a popular snowpark here for snowboarders. Every day there are two chairlifts with surface lifts in operation. In the area around Pustevny you will also find 44 km of maintained crosscountry tracks and also racing circuits.

Radhošť mountain - the mysterious mountain with a pagan past
Take a trip to Radhošť mountain, symbol of the Beskydy Protected Landscape Area. Breathtaking views of the entire Beskydy region, along with Moravian Wallachia, the Jeseníky region, and the Greater and Lesser Fatra range await you. The peak is dominated by a chapel and statues of the missionaries Cyril and Methodius, a cross, and a television transmission mast.

Beskydy Sky nature trail
On the 1800 m nature trail you can see unique exhibits and scientific stops with 8 main information boards. You can learn about the past and present in Horečky in an attractive form. the most popular parts of the trail include an 85m long skywalk, where you can observe life in the treetops. Under the roof of the amphitheatre you can see an exhibition with silhouettes of birds of prey.

Museum in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm
Enjoy yourselves and learn something new in the Frenštát pod Radhoštěm Museum. In three exhitibition halls you can view a total of 9 exhibitions focusing on folk art, history and the development of crafts, and the history of social life in the region. The exhibits are accompanied by audiovisual projection and temporary thematic exhibitions. The exhibitions are interesting both for children and adults.

Buckwheat mill in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm.
Come and look at how buckwheat is shucked using the traditional mechanical method, and try out the buckwheat products. Millers from the Šmajstrl family have been milling buckwheat here for four generations since 1861. You need only phone to arrange a guided tour of the mill. In addition to the experience from the tour, you can also take away healthy buckwheat products with you, as these are for sale ot visitors.

Visit the highest of the Věřovický Peaks, Velký Javorník, to which leads a hiking trail directly from Frenštát pod Radhoštěm. On the north-western slopes of the mountain you can see rock walls and great boulders which fall to the Velký Kámen reservation. There is a wooden viewing tower almost 26 metres tall on the peak. It is open year round. If the weather is clear, you can see from Javorník to Jeseníky, the Oderský Peaks or the Ostrava region. Satisfy your hunger and thirst in the hiking cottage, one of the most frequently visited placed in the Beskydy region.
